Please note that the following is required when jumping with us:

You must be 18 years of age or older. You must be a current member of the USPA holding an ‘A’ license or higher. International jumpers must have USPA membership (temporary memberships available) and your country’s A-license equivalent or higher. You must have a current logbook. An electronic version such as a ProTrack will work as well. You must have a reserve packing card for each rig you wish to jump in-date per FAA 180-Day requirements. AAD’s ARE REQUIRED AT SKYDIVE CHICAGO. Current according to USPA regulations.

Facilities

The facilities at Skydive Chicago are second to none and are seldom seen in the world of skydiving! Skydive Chicago’s facilities serve as the ultimate campus for comfort and learning whether making your first skydive or 20,000th – we have it all!

Auditorium

Skydive Chicago’s boasts a 9,000 square foot auditorium perfect for any multitude of events. It can comfortable seat up to 350 people. Equipped with balcony theater seating, large screen projector, surround sound, and stage. Contact events@skydivechicago.com for more information.

Gym

Stay in shape!  Maybe its a weather hold or you just want just want to lift some iron Skydive Chicago has what you need.  A full set of free weights, mats, and more.

Swimming Pond

Cool down and take a load off. Skydive Chicago’s swimming pond is one many of its great attractions. The pond features 3 decks, a beach and waterfall. Bring your fishing gear too because it’s loaded with fish! No lifeguard is present so swim at your own risk. This attraction is for skydivers and waivered guests only.

Sky Lounge

Complete with pool table, projector, conference table, internet, and big comfy couches, the Sky Lounge is the perfect hangout for everything from remote workspace during the week to early/late season after-hours shenanigans.

Eat Up Cafe / Tiki Hut

Eat Up is a unique deli serving fresh food with big flavors and handmade items to the community since 2008! After the day is done, Eat Up is still there to continue serving you. Depending on the season, you can stop by The Skylounge or come down to The Tiki hut and enjoy good friends, good times, great food and great drinks from our full bar.

Skydive Chicago® has the largest fleet of aircraft in the Midwest. Our planes are so popular you’ll often find them flying at numerous dropzones around the US. Our aircraft currently include three Super Twin Otters, 2 Caravans, 2 Skyvans, and 1 Cessna. Our Otters have been upgraded to the largest engines you can get which means more airtime for you. SDC has the fastest jump planes in the Midwest. In addition to our own fleet, we’ll bring in novelty aircraft such as helicopters, hot air balloons, and aerobatic planes.

Skydive Chicago is happy to announce a Partnership with Gold State Gear! GSG will be taking over the onsite gear store and rigging loft. GSG currently operates the gear stores at Skydive Perris and Skydive Elsinore. GSG offers everything from a closing loop to outfitting yourself with new gear.

Cougar Campground is nestled between the swimming pond and the Fox River close to all activities.  You MUST be Skydiving to camp in Cougar Campground.  Here is a list of Cougar Campground Amenities:

Please leave your pets at home. If you must bring your pet he/she must be on a leash at ALL times. Pets are not allowed in or around the pond, hangar, cabins, or shower house at any time. Thank you for your understanding.

Cougar Campground is owned and operated by Ottawa Airport Inc.

**All campers MUST check in at the office upon arrival.

Camping it not open to the public.  You must be a skydiver or making a tandem skydive to camp, rent a trailer, rent a slot or rent a cabin.  If you are making a Tandem skydive you can camp one day prior and one day after your tandem skydive.

Ottawa Airport Inc. has nine cabins available for rent to any jumping guests of Skydive Chicago®.The standard cabins sleep up to four people with a bunk bed and a full bed in each unit and are equipped with electricity and A/C, providing a great shelter from the elements.The Deluxe Cabins come with a queen bed and loft area and are equipped with electricity, A/C, and a full bath in each unit. The cabins each have an outdoor balcony that overlooks the historic Fox River, truly the best view on the property.

Rates are per unit, and Rustic Cabins do not include bedding. Licensed jumpers please inquire about our monthly rates. A deposit equal to the first night’s stay is required to hold your reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to reservation. If your cancellation is not received in time your deposit will be forfeited. If you will be arriving after office hours please call the office in advance to make arrangements.

Advanced Freefall Program

The Advanced Freefall Program (AFP) at Skydive Chicago™ is an exclusive instructional program originally developed in 1984 by Roger Nelson. AFP has evolved over the years into the most progressive and complete curriculum used in the skydiving world today. The AFP curriculum has inspired USPA’s requirements for self-supervision, thus producing more competent and confident skydivers. Unlike with other programs, AFP graduates have excelled in all aspects of the sport becoming National and World Champions.

Individualized attention with one on one instruction starts with an in-depth 8-hour class.
